Låten skrevs till Alice Babs som sjöng in och gav ut den 1944 på skivmärke HMV. Hon framförde den också i flugighetsprogrammet HÖSTFLUGOR i radion, 14/9 1946. Povel tog så småning upp den själv i TV-serien AFFÄREN RAMEL, 1986, och sjöng in den på skiva, ÅTERBESÖK I HOLKEN, 1991.
